Today, the chamber pot is not a common object found in the bedrooms of North America although there is a history and tradition of use derived from European examples. As a functional potter this vessel posed a challenge in terms of its unfamiliar design elements and the utilitarian application. My solution is based on an assemblage of forms and appendages which are familiar and occur in my other work. The success of my solution has not been tested on a regular base. 今日的北美洲，夜壶已不是日常放置於卧房内的普及品，但在历史及传统上，是有用来自欧洲夜壶的例证。 身为一位实用陶艺家，由於对夜壶设计元素及应用方法不熟悉，为制造这器皿带来挑战。我透过形状组合及附加部份来解决这难题。这是我作品常用的手段。这个成功的造型是没有通过固定及有规律测试的。
