Popularized through the practice of "Folk Religion" Chinese mythology is a pervasive cultural force that often lays just below the surface of today's modern, sophisticated, techno oriented new Asian society. As a Western ceramist who is drawn to spiritual expression in art, and ceramics in particalar I have tried to loosely draw on the Chinese myths that I have encountered about a female Celestial deiity who watches over the latrine, or privy. In my piece, "Goddess of Chamber Pots and Latrines, "I have created a throne for my goddess to sit on by piling up a stach of miniature anthropomorphized chamber pots. Since my piece does form a kind of actual alter that could probably be used to honor almost any latrine deity, my work is intended to function only as an article for worship and ritual. The vase 中国寓言神话学，流行於「民间宗教」实习中，是一种渗透性的文化力量，往往隐藏於现今现代化、复杂化、及科技导向的新亚洲社会的表层上。作为一位向往精神艺术性表达形式，尤其是陶瓷艺术的西方陶艺家，我曾尝试於中国神话学及自己际遇中寻找有关一位女神灵，她的神职是负责看守户外厕所，作为我的创作灵感的来源。在我的作品「尿壶及户外厕所女神」，我创作了一座供奉女神灵的神座，神座是由一堆缩小了的神人同形同性化尿壶叠制而成的，由於我的作品实际地像一座供奉的神座，它可以作为供奉任何户外厕所神灵之用的神座，因此我希望我的作品只是作为一种有关供奉及祭祀的创作。而位於女神灵神座旁的花瓶般陶器，是供安放芬芳的焚香，以作欢迎任何户外厕所神灵的指标。
