Huzhi was an interesting ceramic form in ancient China. It was used by males and like the tiger hats and tiger shoes, symbolized courage and was used to ward off evil. My chamber pot is a tiger, although the function of it has diminished, it still looks voracious and scary and ready to pounce. ‘虎子’是中国传统的有趣器物，特为男性而制作。‘虎子’名称的由来或会是中国人对男孩子成长的寄望，有著威风生猛的气色，即‘虎头帽’与‘虎头鞋’的用意一样。另一方面，基於人们多是在夜间使用‘虎子’，故‘虎子’又有给予使用者保护的象徵，因此造型上有辟邪的影子。 因此在制作时，特意表现‘虎子’的生猛造型，透过立体代四肢的动作。给予‘虎子’威严凶的形象，器型体积的减少，目的在于淡化其功用罢了。
