  • 郑褘介绍

  •  Humour, satire, puns, and Chinese history are all important elements in my work, many years ago I saw an exhibition at the Asian Art Museum In San Francisco that dealt with puns in Chinese art, I was immediately Attracted to this concept, Bats and peaches as motifs in ceramics meant Prosperity and longevity because of the way they were pronounced.

  • I realized at that point that one word said with a little tone variation may mean something else, sometimes with very funny implications.

  •  Understanding my own culture, its historical and social development, makes me want to create art that is both funny and serious at the same time
