Wu Shixiong
was born in 1950, and Graduated from the China Guangzhou Institute
of Fine Art in 1973. Japan Toyo Art Museum invited his oil paintings
named GREEN AND BLUE to the Asian Contemporary Art Exposition who
was hold in 1980. His works were shown on Chinese Contemporary Art
Exposition (1989) at China Art Museum in Beijing. At the former he
also received the awards Characteristic Artist Style. In 1989, he
founded the Century-End Art Studio in Shenzhen, and hold the show of
studio’s art works at the Shenzhen Museum in 1990. His sculpture
works of ONE ADD ONE, UNTITLED were invited to join the Exhibition
of Modern Young Sculptors by the Chinese Fine Art Institute in
Zhejiang Province, 1992. As a chief-editor and published many books,
including the series of Art Collection, the Year-Record of Chinese
Art Collection, A History of Modern Design (written by Wang Shouzhi
)and A History of Modern Graphic Design (by Wang Shouzhi ) between
1992 to 1998. He also taught the art and advertisement photo in
Guangzhou Fine Art Institute and Shenzhen University. In 1997,he
went to France to join the show of Graphic Design. At May to June
1998, he is invited to Guiling, Guangxi Province to join the Design
Camp of Da Yanggu International Sculpture. In 2000, he won the
Judge’s special prize of The Sixth Taiwan Golden Ceramic Awards. His
ceramic works were collected by many art museum and collectors. In
2001, his woeks SATE NO.9 was selected to join the 1 World Ceramic
Biennale 2001 Korea (CEBIKO) International

Shixiong is now the master of Shenzhen Art Research Institute, the
director of Shenzhen Artists Association, the member of Shenzhen
Graphic Designers Association, and the deputy secretary-general of
sculpture council of Chinese Industrial Art Association.
