• 1950年生于广州
• 1973年毕业于广州美术学院
• 1980年作品《青与蓝》（综合材料）入选在日本东京都美术馆举办的“亚洲现代美术展”（日本——东京）。
• 1990年木雕《世纪末的类人》等系列作品参加深圳博物馆举办的“世纪末艺术工作室90展”（中国——深圳）。
• 1992年木雕作品《一加一》、《无题》入选者将美术学院主办“当代青年雕塑家邀请展”（中国——杭州）。

• 998年参加桂林愚自乐园国际雕塑创作营，石雕作品《延态》被永久收藏（中国——桂林）

• 1999年陶艺作品《衍》、《临界》参加艺术ART转递空间举办的“世纪末艺术之旅”第一次展（中国——北京）。
• 1999年陶艺作品《未了系列》等入选“99中国当代陶艺作品展”（中国——上海）
• 1999年参加“大陆、香港、台湾三地袖珍雕塑展”
• 2000年参加2000国际陶艺家邀请展，作品《未了系列》为石湾珍馆收藏（中国——石湾）。
• 2000年应邀参加2000国际柴烧研讨会，作品《新人类》为南风古灶收藏（中国——石湾）。
• 2000陶艺作品《休态》入选台湾第六届国际金陶奖，获评审特别奖（中国——台湾）
• 2000年陶艺作品《萌态》入选中国工艺美术精品展，为爱涛艺术馆收藏（中国——南京）。
• 2001年应邀参加21世纪国际陶艺发展论坛，作品《状态系列》入选韩国国际陶艺大赛（韩国——利川）

Wu Shixiong was born in 1950, and Graduated from the China Guangzhou Institute of Fine Art in 1973. Japan Toyo Art Museum invited his oil paintings named GREEN AND BLUE to the Asian Contemporary Art Exposition who was hold in 1980. His works were shown on Chinese Contemporary Art Exposition (1989) at China Art Museum in Beijing. At the former he also received the awards Characteristic Artist Style. In 1989, he founded the Century-End Art Studio in Shenzhen, and hold the show of studio’s art works at the Shenzhen Museum in 1990. His sculpture works of ONE ADD ONE, UNTITLED were invited to join the Exhibition of Modern Young Sculptors by the Chinese Fine Art Institute in Zhejiang Province, 1992. As a chief-editor and published many books, including the series of Art Collection, the Year-Record of Chinese Art Collection, A History of Modern Design (written by Wang Shouzhi )and A History of Modern Graphic Design (by Wang Shouzhi ) between 1992 to 1998. He also taught the art and advertisement photo in Guangzhou Fine Art Institute and Shenzhen University. In 1997,he went to France to join the show of Graphic Design. At May to June 1998, he is invited to Guiling, Guangxi Province to join the Design Camp of Da Yanggu International Sculpture. In 2000, he won the Judge’s special prize of The Sixth Taiwan Golden Ceramic Awards. His ceramic works were collected by many art museum and collectors. In 2001, his woeks SATE NO.9 was selected to join the 1 World Ceramic Biennale 2001   Korea (CEBIKO) International  Comptition

Mr. Wu Shixiong is now the master of Shenzhen Art Research Institute, the director of Shenzhen Artists Association, the member of Shenzhen Graphic Designers Association, and the deputy secretary-general of sculpture council of Chinese Industrial Art Association.
