  TECHNICAL STATEMENT

    Nature is the inspiration for my work: stones, rock surfaces and lava shapes. All my works are hand-built from 10cm wide to 1～1.5cm thick strips. Before the bisque-firing, the surface is treated with porcelain and colored slips, later with oxides such as iron oxide, copper oxide and cobalt oxide.
    In the seventies of the last century, I used to work with feldspathic glazes which I do not largely apply any more. I have always used a grogged stoneware body. All my works are fired in reduction to 1360℃.
