Vladimir Gorislavtsev's Ceramic are distinctive for his
technique of painting under glaze, which gives his color a
unique quality of lightness. The decorations of his ceramics
have extremely rich colors and yet fine combinations of
color palette.
He is a painter, graphic artist and ceramic sculpture. He
makes three-dimensional ceramics from chamotte using
metallic salts and glazes.
As for many artists, place is a most important determined and
it is necessary to mention the role played by the Mukhina
School of Art in Vladimir Gorislavtsev's vision. It was here
that tutors such at Markov and vasilkovsky helped to shape
his early career. The majority of Gorislavtsev's colleagues
and CO-exhibitors have emerged from this institution.
Gorislavtsev was one of the participants of the group "One
composition" .The group consisted of 15 ceramics, who
exhibited once per year during ten years from 1977 till
1987.These ceramic artists brought fame to the Leningrad
School of ceramics leading it to an international level.
